I can't believe that it is October already! It is definitely starting to feel like fall as well! Fall is such a great season, and especially for this month, I am especially excited to be sharing great fall crafts and desserts that can be made! The first craft that I am going to share with you can be made with children! They are LEAF PLACEMATS! This is great because you will be able to take your kids out on a walk for them to pick out different leaves that may be falling from the trees! It is also very cool because every person's placemat will be unique and colorful!
So the items that you will need are:
-Leaves
-Clear contact paper
-Colored construction paper (only if you want a plain background)
Directions:
1. Go outside and find leaves that you will want to include on your placemat
2. Cut two pieces of contact paper each about two feet long
3. Remove the backing of one of your sheets
4. Place the leaves that you have gathered in any pattern you would like
5. If you would like a background color pick a piece of colored construction paper and place it on top of the leaves.
6. Once you are happy with how the leaves are placed, take the other sheet of contact paper and remove the backing. Place the sticky side onto the leaves so they are between the two pieces of contact paper
7. Cut the excess paper however you would like. If you have crafty scissors with cool designs you can use those to make a unique edge around the placemat.
I hope you enjoyed the first craft of the season!
