It is that time of year again...PUMPKIN PIE! Here is a video that I found online that shows how easy it is for kids to help you make this delicious fall dessert! I thought this would be a good first dessert that I share with you because the other day I was at a Thanksgiving potluck and one of the desserts that was there was pumpkin pie, and I thought to myself, "This would be such a great treat to post on my blog!" It is the perfect time of year because it also allows you to take your kids out to the pumpkin patch to pick some! Below I will post directions that I know will make your pumpkin pie come out irresistibly amazing!
Happy baking!
Ingredients Needed:
- 1 cup of white sugar
- 1/2 cup of packed brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon
- 2 eggs
- 1 (about 15 ounces) can of pumpkin puree
- 1 1/4 cups of milk
- 9-inch unbaked pie crust
1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
2. In a large mixing bowl combine the white sugar, brown sugar, salt, and ground cinnamon. Stir together thoroughly before adding the eggs, pumpkin puree, and milk, respectively.
3. Once it all is completely mixed and has a smooth texture, move the mixture from the bowl into the pie crust.
4. Bake the pie at 350 degrees F for about 1 1/2 hours or until a toothpick can be placed in and comes out clean. Cool the pie before serving.
Bon Appetit!
