Hello all bloggers out there!
Only 16 more days until Christmas! I cannot explain in words how excited I am to be with my family and spend quality time making memories and sharing laughs with all of them! I just wanted to say to all how amazing it has been for me these past few months to share with you all the fun baking and crafts ideas that I have given you all! This week I thought I would change it up a little bit by sharing with you a game that my whole family, mainly all the cousins, plays when we get together for Christmas! It's called Fish Bowl!!! It is a great way to include everyone of all ages and just laugh about how funny it is to see people play! Here are the rules:
1. Everyone participating recieves three pieces of paper in which they write anything they want on it. There are no barriers in which someone can write something.
2. Everyone playing splits into two teams.
3. There are three rounds of play:
Round 1: Describe the word on the piece of paper
Round 2: Describe the word on the paper using ONE WORD
Round 3: Act out the word---->CHARADES style
4. Each team gets 30 seconds to get as many words as they can right
5. If the team member who is up, decides to skip the word, there is a one point deduction.
6. You move onto the next round when all the words have been guessed. You can overlap rounds if there is still time on the clock. For example, if all the words are guesses from round 1 and there is 15 seconds left, the same team puts the words back in the pot and they start all over beginning round 2.
7. The team with the most points at the end of round 3 wins!
This is kind of irrelevant to the post this week, but I would like to give a shoutout to two bloggers who have inspired me to start this blog that you are currently reading! The one is an actual chef who is always posting videos that show recipes, and I like trying out those recipes myself, which is sometimes where I get ideas for my baking posts! And the other blogger is more so a fashion blogger, and although she doesn't really relate to my theme, I thought I would post anyway because for all you moms out there, she gives great tips on things that we all love!
http://fromayoungchef.blogspot.com/ -----> This gives awesome recipes that I love using as well!
http://checkinthemirror.blogspot.com/ -----> For all the moms out there trying to save money yet still be fashionable!
Until next time...

-Candy canes (of your choice)
-Paper to write notes (or you can print notes on the computer)

1. Create a note that you will stick onto the candy cane
2. Take a piece of tape and stick it on the back of the note to stick on the candy can
3. Drop it in front of your neighbors' and famiy members' doors, knock, and run away!!!

Happy November!!
Hello to you all out there! Isn't it so crazy that it is November already?! October flew by so fast! It is definitely starting to feel like fall now, the weather is becoming so crisp and cold, and all the leaves are almost off the trees!
November is such an awesome month because I am excited to share with you all fun Thanksgiving crafts and treats that you can make with your kids, and many others as well!
In preparation for the Thanksgiving weekend, I thought it would be awesome to share with you a craft that you can do to decorate your house and make it a little more Thanksgiving themed. What better item to represent Thanksgiving than a TURKEY!
Materials Needed:
*Toilet Paper Roll
*Scissors
*Fall-colored construction paper
*Googly Eyes or a black marker
*Writing utensil
*Glue
Instructions:
1. Take your scissors and cut slits towards the top of the toilet paper roll to make a beak for the turkey. Fold the two slits up.
2. Take your construction paper and trace your hand on each and cut out. (These will act as the turkey's feathers.
3. With the extra red paper left over, cut a wattle for the turkey's neck.
4. Take the googly eyes or your black marker and put eyes on the turkey.
5. Glue the hand prints to the back of the turkey to act as the feathers!

Halloween Happy
This week I want to talk to you all about Halloween costumes! Halloween is such a great day for people to express their interests and creativity through their costumes that they choose to wear. Now since this is a family-oriented blog, I wanted to be able to show different costume ideas that the whole family can do! Since giving a step by step instruction on how to make a costume would take too long, and you may not want to do be this costume anyways, I thought I would send you to a website where they have great family costumes that are themed in which your whole family can be apart of! This will also allow you to spend time with your kids if you choose to create your own!

Pumpkin Carving
Sticking with the pumpkin theme from last week, this week's new post is going to be all about pumpkin carving! This is such a great activity that all families can do together! This craft will also give you and your kids another chance to hit the local pumpkin patch to pick out pumpkins!
Materials needed:
-Pumpkins (any size; the larger the pumpkins, the easier to carve)
-Pattern (can be found online)
-Xacto knife (or any knife that has a sharp end will do)
-Scissors
Directions:
*Be sure to place down newspaper wherever you may be doing this because it could get messy!*
1. You will want to cut out the top of the pumpkin where the stem sits, at about a 45 degree angle.
2. Clean out the pumpkin.
3. Using the scissors, cut out the pattern in the places that you will want to carve onto the punpkin.
4. Tape the pattern onto the pumpkin. You can either trace around with a marker where you are going to carve, or you can score the pattern and at the end connect the dots together.
5. Place either a candle or a battery powered light. If you are going to use the light, it would be a good idea to cut the bottom of your pumpkin in the beginning as well!
Until next time, happy carving!

Pumpkin Pie Pastry
It is that time of year again...PUMPKIN PIE! Here is a video that I found online that shows how easy it is for kids to help you make this delicious fall dessert! I thought this would be a good first dessert that I share with you because the other day I was at a Thanksgiving potluck and one of the desserts that was there was pumpkin pie, and I thought to myself, "This would be such a great treat to post on my blog!" It is the perfect time of year because it also allows you to take your kids out to the pumpkin patch to pick some! Below I will post directions that I know will make your pumpkin pie come out irresistibly amazing!
Happy baking!
Ingredients Needed:
- 1 cup of white sugar
- 1/2 cup of packed brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon
- 2 eggs
- 1 (about 15 ounces) can of pumpkin puree
- 1 1/4 cups of milk
- 9-inch unbaked pie crust

Hello October!
I can't believe that it is October already! It is definitely starting to feel like fall as well! Fall is such a great season, and especially for this month, I am especially excited to be sharing great fall crafts and desserts that can be made! The first craft that I am going to share with you can be made with children! They are LEAF PLACEMATS! This is great because you will be able to take your kids out on a walk for them to pick out different leaves that may be falling from the trees! It is also very cool because every person's placemat will be unique and colorful!
So the items that you will need are:
-Leaves
-Clear contact paper
-Colored construction paper (only if you want a plain background)
Directions:
1. Go outside and find leaves that you will want to include on your placemat
2. Cut two pieces of contact paper each about two feet long
3. Remove the backing of one of your sheets
4. Place the leaves that you have gathered in any pattern you would like
5. If you would like a background color pick a piece of colored construction paper and place it on top of the leaves.
6. Once you are happy with how the leaves are placed, take the other sheet of contact paper and remove the backing. Place the sticky side onto the leaves so they are between the two pieces of contact paper
7. Cut the excess paper however you would like. If you have crafty scissors with cool designs you can use those to make a unique edge around the placemat.
I hope you enjoyed the first craft of the season!
